ARCS Foundation Oregon is a women-led organization committed to advancing science and technology by providing Scholar Awards to our State’s top research universities. In partnership with Oregon Health and Science University, Oregon State University, and University of Oregon, ARCS Foundation Oregon supports the recruitment of outstanding PhD students in STEM fields to our state.
ARCS Scholar Awards give Oregon universities a critical competitive edge in recruiting top graduate students. These brilliant young scientists, selected by our university partners, are seeking solutions to some of the world’s most complex problems such as climate change, human health, housing, and so much more. ARCS Scholars are critical members of our research community where collaboration, innovation, and creativity thrive. They become leaders in the private and public sectors, using their expertise and networks to create new start-ups, foster economic growth and innovation, and drive positive change in our world.

Our Impact
Our dedicated and hardworking membership is committed to fueling the success of the next generation of innovative leaders in science and technology. The Oregon Chapter was founded in 2004, and to date has supported 459 young scientists studying to complete PhD degrees in science, engineering, medical research with awards totalling more than $7.7 million.
